Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager

+ up to 7.5% bonus (O.T.E £55,900) + Benefits (Including 11% matched pension)

I am partnering with Zip Pak, part of the ITW group, a $16bn turnover business operating globally, as they search for a new QHSE Manager for their site in Whitby. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global company working with well-known brands.

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience leading internal and external audits (customer and supplier)
• Success in gaining and maintaining ISO accreditations
• Experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems
• Coordinate with Production Managers and Shift Leaders to ensure adherence to Quality and HSE procedures
• Promote safety culture and awareness among teams and individuals
• Manage Near Miss/Safety Catch programs
• Conduct and update Risk Assessments with departmental managers and staff
• Design and deliver H&S training for staff at all levels
• Chair regular Quality and H&S meetings
• Maintain up-to-date Quality procedures and ISO standards (9001, 14001)
• Support complaint investigations and liaise on customer quality questionnaires
• Create and update product specifications in line with Change Management procedures
• Arrange and deliver QHSE training as needed
• Conduct internal and supplier audits
• Coordinate with site engineers and management on PPM procedures
• Liaise with accreditation bodies to ensure ongoing certification
• Review and implement new HS&E and ISO procedures and legislation
• Manage PPE requirements
• Support team management through coaching, mentoring, and communication
• Supervise team members and manage workload
