Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead day-to-day Health, Safety, Environment and Quality processes in Ellesmere, Shropshire. You will develop and maintain ISO 9001 aligned systems and drive improvements across the business.

The role requires NEBOSH or IOSH qualification with prior HSEQ experience in manufacturing and a proactive approach to governance, risk reduction and continuous improvement. Commutable to Ellesmere is preferred.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is essential.
• Experience in HSEQ within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and auditing activities desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for day-to-day HSEQ processes and procedures.
• Maintain and develop Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
• Carry out audits, inspections and investigations as required.
• Support and maintain the Quality Management System and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve HSEQ processes and procedures.
• Implement corrective and preventative actions where required.
• Promote high standards of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance.
• Work independently and take ownership of the HSEQ function.
• Support business growth and development.

HSEQ Manager Position Overview

• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day HSEQ processes and procedures
• Maintaining and developing Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems
• Ensuring compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company standards
• Carrying out audits, inspections and investigations where required
• Supporting and maintaining the company's Quality Management System
• Supporting ISO 9001 compliance and auditing activities

HSEQ Manager Position Requirements

• NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is essential
• Previous HSE/HSEQ experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience within a Quality role would be advantageous
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, with auditing experience desirable
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation, processes and procedures
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Proactive approach with a desire to develop and improve HSEQ standards
• Suitable for an experienced HSE/Quality professional looking to step up into an HSEQ management position
• Based in a commutable distance of Ellesmere, Shropshire
