Job summary

CDM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to join an established marine engineering business in Blyth. The role focuses on maintaining and developing the Integrated Management System and ensuring ISO compliance across engineering and marine projects.

The successful candidate will have Internal Auditor qualifications and proven experience with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, plus strong auditing, documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Internal Auditor or above.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• HSEQ/QHSE experience in engineering/marine environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the Integrated Management System.
• Ensure ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 compliance.
• Manage HSEQ documentation and records.
• Coordinate and supervise the internal audit programme.
• Monitor compliance with procedures.
• Review non-conformances and lead corrective actions.
• Support safety meetings, inspections and investigations.
• Promote continuous improvement and a positive HSEQ culture.
• Provide HSEQ support across project locations when required.

Job description

An established marine engineering business is looking to recruit an experienced HSEQ Manager to join its team in Blyth.

This is a varied role with responsibility for maintaining and developing the company's integrated management systems, ensuring compliance with relevant ISO standards and supporting HSEQ requirements across engineering and marine projects.

The role

• Maintain and develop the Integrated Management System
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Manage and maintain HSEQ documentation and records
• Coordinate and supervise the internal audit programme
• Monitor compliance with company procedures
• Review non-conformances and oversee corrective actions
• Support safety meetings, inspections and investigations
• Promote continuous improvement and a positive HSEQ culture
• Provide HSEQ support at other project locations when required

The person

• Qualified Internal Auditor or above
• Practical experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Previous HSEQ/QHSE experience within engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, marine or a similar industrial environment
• Good understanding of engineering and fabrication activities
• Strong knowledge of management systems, auditing and compliance
• Confident communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
