HSEQ Compliance Manager

Location: Watford / Anywhere in the South – covering Nationwide Projects

About the role :

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading principal contractor with a strong pipeline of major projects across the UK. The company is known for delivering large-scale schemes across multiple sectors, including industrial, infrastructure, and commercial.

As Compliance Manager, you’ll be responsible for conducting internal audits across live projects to assess compliance with the business management system. You’ll play a key role in ensuring operational standards are met, identifying areas for improvement, and driving continual development in processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular internal audits across various project sites
• Assess compliance against the business management system and ISO standards
• Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions
• Support project teams in improving compliance performance
• Report audit findings to senior leadership and support improvement initiatives
• Work collaboratively across departments to share best practice

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in compliance, auditing, or quality management within construction or civil engineering
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (e.g. 9001, 14001, 45001)
• Ability to interpret and apply business management systems
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK
