Job summary

Augean is seeking an HSEQ Advisor to drive health, safety, environment and quality standards across our hazardous waste operations across the UK. You will work with site teams to promote a proactive safety culture and support ESG commitments.

Key responsibilities include audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, toolbox talks and maintaining HSEQ documentation. The role requires a driving licence and willingness to travel between sites in a growing specialist industry.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience in an HSEQ role within waste, manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environments.
• Good knowledge of HSE legislation and ISO management systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSEQ advice and support to operational teams.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and site observations.
• Support risk assessments, safe systems of work, and operational procedures.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety communications, and compliance initiatives.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Help maintain HSEQ documentation, records, and management systems.
