Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Coordinate with HSEQ auditors to maintain company accreditations.
- Create, monitor, and update procedures within the Quality Management System.
- Guide and advise employees and management on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance.
- Plan and conduct audits, documenting successes and areas for improvement.
- Provide training to internal staff.
- Ensure company processes deliver expected results.
- Report on HSEQ performance and improvement opportunities.
- Promote customer focus and ensure the integrity of the HSEQ management system.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures.
- Perform regular site inspections for policy adherence.
- Ensure safety and legal compliance of working practices.
- Develop health and safety strategies and policies.
- Lead training sessions on QHSE topics.
- Maintain inspection records and produce improvement reports.
- Document incidents and generate statistics for management.
- Stay updated on legislation and industry developments.
- Participate in IOSH seminars and read professional journals.
- Produce management reports, newsletters, and bulletins.
- Ensure safe installation of equipment.
- Manage hazardous substances disposal (e.g., asbestos, COSHH).
- Advise on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, machinery safeguarding, and occupational diseases.
- Oversee emergency procedures, signage, PPE, and COSHH controls.
- Hold NEBOSH General or equivalent qualification.
- Show passion and robust knowledge of HSEQ subjects.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE.
- Auditor training/experience preferred.
- Hands-on approach to implementing processes and change.
- Hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel.
- Must have full rights to work in the UK (IDLR or Settled Status).
