The McDermott group is seeking an HSEQ Advisor based in Perth, Scotland. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

Overview of the Role

• HSEQ Officer
• Holidays: 30 days, with 1 additional day per year of service (max 5 days), plus a holiday buy-back scheme of 5 days

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain strong customer relationships
• Liaise with HSEQ auditors to ensure company accreditations
• Create and monitor procedures within the Quality Management System
• Guide and advise employees on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance
• Conduct audits and implement best practices
• Provide training on HSEQ topics
• Ensure processes deliver desired outcomes and report on performance
• Promote customer focus and maintain the integrity of the HSEQ system
• Perform risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with legislation
• Develop health and safety policies and strategies
• Lead internal training sessions on QHSE matters
• Maintain records, produce reports, and manage incident documentation
• Stay updated on legislation and industry developments
• Manage equipment safety, hazardous substance disposal, and emergency procedures
• Provide expertise on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and occupational diseases
• Require NEBOSH General or equivalent qualification
• Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, DSE
• Auditor training/experience
• Ability to implement processes and drive change
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
• Must have full rights to work in the UK (IDLR or Settled Status)
