The McDermott group is seeking an HSEQ Advisor based in Perth, Scotland, to uphold high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Coordinate with HSEQ auditors to maintain company accreditations.
- Create, monitor, and update procedures within the Quality Management System.
- Guide and advise employees and management on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance.
- Plan and conduct audits, recording findings to promote best practices.
- Provide training on HSEQ topics to staff.
- Ensure company processes meet their objectives.
- Report on HSEQ performance and suggest improvements.
- Promote customer focus and maintain the integrity of the HSEQ management system.
- Perform risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with policies.
- Ensure safe working practices and legal compliance.
- Develop health and safety strategies and policies.
- Lead training sessions on QHSE topics.
- Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and accidents, and produce reports.
- Stay updated on legislation and industry developments.
- Attend relevant seminars and read professional journals.
- Produce reports, newsletters, and bulletins.
- Ensure safe installation of equipment and disposal of hazardous substances (COSHH).
- Advise on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, machinery safeguarding, and occupational diseases.
- Manage emergency procedures, signage, PPE, and COSHH controls.
- Hold NEBOSH General or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate passion and robust knowledge in HSEQ subjects.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Possess strong knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE regulations.
- Have auditor training/experience.
- Be a proactive implementer of processes and change.
- Hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel.
