The McDermott group is seeking an HSEQ Advisor based in Perth, Scotland, to uphold high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

Overview of the Role

• HSEQ Officer
• Holidays: 30 days, with 1 additional day per year of service up to 5 days, plus a holiday buy-back scheme of 5 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company's HSEQ systems and accreditations.
• Develop, monitor, and review procedures within the Quality Management System.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on HSEQ matters.
• Conduct audits and site inspections, ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Prepare health and safety strategies and policies.
• Lead in-house training sessions on QHSE topics.
• Report on HSEQ performance and suggest improvements.
• Manage risk assessments, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Maintain records of incidents and inspections.
• Stay updated on HSE legislation and best practices.
• Ensure safe equipment installation and hazardous substance disposal.
• Advise on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and occupational diseases.
• Manage emergency procedures, signage, PPE, and COSHH controls.
• Hold NEBOSH General or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrate passion and strong knowledge in HSEQ topics.
• Proficient in MS Office and risk assessment tools.
• Possess auditor training/experience.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
• Must have full rights to work in the UK (IDLR or Settled Status).
