Job summary

Facilities Management Organisation - Hard Services is seeking a HSEQ Advisor to cover North Yorkshire and the wider north of England. This permanent role involves embedding health and safety best practice, conducting audits and risk assessments, and advising operational teams across multiple sites in the North of England.

Working Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00, with 2–3 days travel per week; base location is the North of England.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification essential.
• Strong communication, reporting and influencing abilities required.
• Experience across multi-site organisations or supporting multiple clients regionally.
• NEBOSH General Occupational Health and Safety Certificate or IOSH Level 3 equivalent.
• Experience of CDM (Construction Design & Management).
• Project lead/management exposure advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Embed health and safety best practices across the business.
• Carry out audits and risk assessments at multiple sites.
• Advise operational teams across locations.
• Champion quality of service delivery to customers, internally and externally.
• Work across hard services projects (refurbishment, fit-out, maintenance) for blue-chip clients.

Role Summary

This permanent HSEQ Advisor role covers North Yorkshire and the wider north of England, with client sites stretching from Staffordshire up to Aberdeen. This unique opportunity has arisen for a HSEQ Advisor to join an innovative facilities management company who are currently in a period of growth and expansion. To be a new addition and a key member of a supportive and knowledgeable HSEQ Department, supporting and adding value to a variety of high-end, blue-chip organisations, across multiple sites in the North of England.

This company values work life balance, the travel expectations are variable depending on workload, but they are looking for approachable and visible Advisors. On the road, from 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

Working Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00, the post-holder supports a facilities management organisation delivering hard services to blue-chip clients. Duties include embedding health and safety best practice, carrying out audits and risk assessments, and advising operational teams across multiple locations. To work collaboratively and embed health and safety best practice across the business through championing the quality of service delivery to the organisation’s customers, both internal and external, using both a strategic and practical approach. Projects will be focused across hard services, which can range from refurbishment, fit out, re-design, maintenance across clients in the Retail, Warehouse, Distribution, Hospitals, Large headquarters for blue chip organisations, Schools and multi-site leisure sectors. No two days are the same here and this would suit someone likes to have exposure to a wide range of environments and different projects. A driven, dynamic and proactive professional who loves to collaborate would fit in well here.

Monday - Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 (37.5 hrs per week)

Location: To be based North of England, clients are situated north of Staffordshire, across Yorkshire, up to Aberdeen.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should hold a NEBOSH qualification and bring strong communication, reporting and influencing abilities.

• Working across multi-site organisations or supporting multiple clients across a regional area.
• Prior HSEQ and hard facilities management experience already would be very advantageous, or similar consultancy experience would also align.
• NEBOSH General Occupational Health and Safety Certificate or equivalent like, IOSH Level 3
• Experience of CDM
• Project Lead/ Management exposure

Salary & Benefits

The salary is £40,000 to £45,000 annually, plus a car allowance of £5,400 and a wider benefits package.
