Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is seeking an HSE Advisor to provide independent safety and environmental guidance to the Rampion Team and offshore operations in the UK.

You will help implement our 'We Care' safety culture, support continual improvement, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to uphold HSE standards across offshore wind activities. The role requires NEBOSH and IEMA certificates, offshore wind experience, and willingness to work offshore, including completing

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate and IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
• Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining an HSE Management System.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience as HSE professional in Offshore Wind and knowledge of O&M offshore.
• Willingness to travel offshore, pass offshore medical and complete GWO safety training.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Experience with renewable technologies and mechanical/technical systems.
• Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent, skilled advice on health, safety and environmental issues to Rampion Team and line management.
• Support continual improvement, wellbeing and sustainability initiatives.
• Engage with operational teams to reduce risks and uphold HSE culture.
• Ensure contractors are selected, engaged and monitored for HSE performance.
• Produce and update HSE documentation for offshore operations.
• Contribute to KPIs and annual targets for Rampion Team.
• Carry out workplace inspections onshore and offshore as required.
• Plan and record feedback on emergency response drills.

About The Role

• The HSE Advisor is responsible for providing independent, skilled and professional advice and guidance to the Rampion Team and its line management team on all health, safety and environmental issues
• Support the Rampion team in implementing high standards of continual improvement ‘We Care’ ethos, including initiatives in behavioural safety, wellbeing and sustainability to ensure a positive impact on the team members
• Engage and develop relationships with operational teams to eliminate and reduce risks, develop HSE culture for the Rampion Team and adherence to HSE standards and rules
• Liaising with internal and external departments to ensure contractors are suitably selected, engaged and monitored for health, safety and environmental performance
• Produce, review and update health, safety and environment related documentation required by the allocated offshore operations site and the Rampion team as directed by Head of HSE Offshore Operations UK & CE or required by the HSE function
• Contribute towards and deliver on annual key performance indicators, goals and targets for the Rampion Team and wider business
• Carrying out regular workplace inspections on and offshore as required
• Planning, running and recording feedback on emergency response drills

Job Requirements And Experience

• NEBOSH Certificate
• IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management
• Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining a certifiable HSE Management System
• Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels through verbal and written communication including active listening skills
• Experience as HSE professional in Offshore Wind including good knowledge of offshore wind O&M phase such as servicing, work packages reviews, lifting operations, environmental factors and Offshore logistics to name a few
• The individual will be expected to regularly work offshore on the wind turbines, travelling via crew transfer vessel to and from the wind farm on day trips , this will require the successful candidate to pass an offshore medical and complete the relevant offshore GWO safety training
• Good written and spoken English
• Experience of renewable technologies and mechanical, electrical and technical systems, process engineering and advising on HSE technical matters relating to these
• Driving licence

Advantageous, But Not Essential

• Working towards a NEBOSH Diploma
• Experience in behavioural safety techniques and delivering behavioural safety training

An offer of employment in this role may require holding active or ability to pass National Security vetting to SC level. Failure to obtain and or maintain National Security Vetting to SC may result in the removal of job offers and or existing employment.
