Job summary

ABB Energy Industries in the UK seeks a proactive HSE Specialist to strengthen health, safety, environmental and wellbeing performance across diverse projects and customer sites. You’ll report to the Local Division HSE & Real Estate Manager and work with engineers, project teams and operations to drive risk reduction and continuous improvement.

The role involves travel to ABB locations, audits to ISO standards, delivering training, and collaborating with UK and Northern European teams to share

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management (or working towards it).
• Demonstrable experience in a health, safety and environmental role within project/service environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation and industry standards.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems; ISO 50001 advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE advice and support to managers and teams to ensure effective risk management.
• Facilitate HSE risk assessments and preventive measure implementation.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations and lessons learned to strengthen safety performance.
• Support internal and external audits including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 across locations.
• Drive behavioural change and continuous improvement in HSE and wellbeing culture.
• Deliver HSE training, coaching and awareness activities for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with UK and Northern European HSE teams to share best practice.
• Support HSE projects with progress reporting against KPIs.
