  • Prepare and maintain risk assessments, environmental risk assessments, and HSE documentation.
  • Review subcontractor RAMS and verify that appropriate control measures and Safe Systems of Work are implemented.
  • Coordinate HSE Site Advisors and prioritise site inspections, audits, behavioural safety observations, and compliance reviews.

  • Monitor site emergency plans, traffic management, welfare arrangements, and fire safety procedures.
  • Verify that HSE signage, emergency equipment, welfare facilities, and statutory documentation remain compliant.
  • Coordinate site inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE briefings to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Coordinate HSE activities with project teams, subcontractors, clients, DNOs, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings, providing HSE guidance and escalating significant risks to HSE management.
  • Prepare HSE reports, inspection records, compliance documentation, and updates on corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and coach site teams to enhance HSE performance.
What you bring to the role:
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (mandatory).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, EPC, or renewable energy projects.

  • NEBOSH Environmental and/or Fire Certificate (desirable).
  • ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 Internal or Lead Auditor qualification (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across the UK.
