Job summary

Jonathan Lee Group is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer for a growing food manufacturing site in Worcester. The role focuses on influencing people, improving systems, and delivering practical results in a fast-moving environment to drive a zero-accident culture and strengthen environmental compliance.

You will lead safety policy, training, and environmental responsibilities, ensuring audit-ready records and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing safety leadership and practical risk reduction.
• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent required for practical safety leadership.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to detail with data analysis and reporting in safety metrics.
• Solid understanding of ISO 14001 environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Review and embed site safety policy and safety plan aligned with Group standards and HSE legislation.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental documentation, permits, and committee records.
• Lead environmental duties such as water treatment oversight, performance monitoring, investigations, and improvement actions.
• Own training planning with Training Department to ensure regulatory and food safety training is audit-ready.
• Ensure safety systems are operational, including fire evacuation, and maintain team coverage (fire wardens, first aiders, ammonia team).
• Develop safe working practices through communication, coaching, audits, KPIs, and engagement with production teams.
• Oversee environmental practices and drive environmental standards.
