Job summary

Ford & Stanley Select is seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager for the South Region. You will lead development and continuous improvement of the HSE Management System, guide project teams, and ensure compliance with industry legislation across major rail and telecommunications infrastructure programmes in the UK.

The role requires NEBOSH Construction and IEMA environmental qualifications, a proven track record in rail-related environments, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• HSE leadership experience across rail/infra projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Auditing and inspections across sites and projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve the HSE Management System across projects.
• Provide HSE guidance to project teams from mobilisation to delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and railway legislation.
• Plan and conduct site audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Assist with ISO audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote environmental best practices across projects.
• Drive HSE process improvements and safety culture across teams.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support HSQE goals.
