Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a HSE Manager (Precision Engineering) in Cambridge. This role offers £35,000 – £45,000 salary, a 4 Day Working Week, training, progression, bonus and days based/workshop based options, with full or part-time opportunities.

You will lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across three divisions, developing and maintaining the H&S systems and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and permits.

• Experience as Health & Safety Advisor/Manager in a precision/manufacturing environment.
• Willing to commute to workshop in Ely.
• Ability to lead HES initiatives and manage H&S systems.

HSE Manager (Precision Engineering)

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking to become the go-to H&S expert across a leading precision engineering business, taking ownership of health and safety across three departments and having the autonomy to shape standards, processes and compliance?

On offer is a chance to join a leading precision engineering company working on bespoke sheet metal components and assemblies for the motorsport, aerospace and medical industries. Boasting over 100 employees spread over 3 divisions, this is a great opportunity for a H&S expert to have a direct impact on the company’s future.

In this role you will be managing the safety, health and environmental initiatives across the 3 divisions. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining their H&S systems while leading H&S initiatives and advice. You will also lead environmental improvement activities and ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits and other applicable requirements.

This role would suit a H&S Advisor/ Manager or similar looking to be the go-to expert in a well established and growing bespoke precision engineering company offering full or part-time work and 4-day work schedule.

The Role:

• Lead HES initiatives
• Maintain and implement the H&S management system
• Investigate accidents and incidents
• Monitor compliance and changes in legislation
• Mon-Thurs (37.5hr week with flexible working hours) or part time (2 days a week)
