Job summary
Oldham College is seeking a committed Health, Safety and Environment Manager to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities. You will lead HSE strategy delivery, monitor performance, manage risk assessments and incident systems, and provide expert reporting to senior leaders and Governors.

Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate is required.
- Proven HSE&E track record implementing improvement initiatives and plans.
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation in FE sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead H&S&E strategy delivery and policy updates.
- Monitor compliance, audits, and implement changes for legal compliance.
- Manage risk assessments and incidents systems (Smartlog, Evolve).
- Provide expert reporting to senior leaders and Governors on H&S matters.
- Promote a positive safety culture through training and engagement.
- Coordinate HSE Committee meetings and liaise with external bodies (HSE, Fire & Rescue, insurers).
- Lead the H&S team and environmental compliance initiatives.
