Job summary

Lodestone Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HSE Manager for a well‑established engineering and manufacturing business in Oldham. You will develop, implement and maintain HSE policies and management systems across the site.

Responsibilities include leading risk assessments, incident investigations, audits and training; maintaining ISO 45001/14001; and engaging with regulators to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• Health, safety and environmental experience within manufacturing, engineering or an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S/environmental legislation.
• Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations and audits.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001/14001.
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies and management systems across the site.
• Lead on risk assessments, safe systems of work and hazard identification.
• Take the lead on incident, accident and near‑miss investigations and drive corrective action through to closure.
• Plan and carry out HSE inspections, audits and compliance reviews; deliver training.
• Monitor HSE performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems and liaise with regulators.
