Job summary

SCINERGY Recruitment Limited seeks a Health & Safety Manager for a large Energy from Waste site in Cheshire. You will lead safety systems, drive regulatory compliance and partner with leadership to foster a no-compromise safety culture.

Experience in heavy regulated plants and NEBOSH qualification are required, with strong knowledge of CEMS and ISO standards. Attractive salary, bonus and pension are on offer in Halton, Cheshire.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within a heavy regulated process environment.
• NEBOSH qualification minimum requirement.
• Experience with permitted and regulated activities, preferably emissions control.
• Strong leadership to embed a safety and compliance culture.
• Knowledge of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
• Awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.

Responsibilities

• Managing and monitoring site safety systems, procedures and SSOW.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental permits and licences, including emissions data.
• Developing and maintaining plans, audits and compliance programmes.
• Managing risk assessments, method statements and H&S documentation.
• Investigating accidents and incidents; implementing corrective actions.
• Advising site leadership on safety, environmental and compliance risks.
• Liaising with Environment Agency and local authorities.
