Job summary

Optima Site Solutions is seeking a Health, Safety & Operations Support Manager for a full-time, permanent role based in Gravesend. The role involves hands-on site audits and office support, with 1–2 days on live projects per week.

You will champion policies and safety standards, assist with CPPs, and coordinate actions between site teams and directors. Based in Gravesend with flexible office/site split.

Optima Site Solutions is looking for a Health, Safety & Operations Support Manager for a full-time, permanent position based in Gravesend (DA12).

MUST HAVE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

This is a hands-on role combining office-based support with regular visits to live construction projects, ideally 1-2 days per week on site. You will conduct site audits, report findings and ensure corrective actions are completed, while actively championing company policies, procedures and health and safety standards.

• Track corrective actions and manage them through to close-out.
• Review and champion internal policies, procedures and health and safety documentation.
• Assist Contracts Managers with creating and managing site files.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Good IT skills.
• A practical, proactive approach with strong organisational and follow-up skills.
• Confidence communicating with site teams, Contracts Managers and Directors.
• Based in Gravesend or neighbouring areas, with easy access to the office.
• Willingness to split your working time between the office and live project sites.
• No specific qualifications are essential; an IOSH qualification is preferred.
