Job summary

McAllister Group, part of Vortex Companies, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our London based team. You will lead the HSEQ function across utilities, local authority, and commercial frameworks, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance.

This hands-on role requires collaboration with site teams to implement proactive safety, quality, and environmental practices, conduct risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HSE management and regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and ISO standards.
• Experience conducting audits and implementing safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HSEQ function across operations and oversee safety, quality, and environmental practices.
• Develop, implement, and review HSE policies and management systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and drive corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Lead incident investigations and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across the organisation.
• Coordinate training programmes and safety meetings for all staff.
