Job summary

WINSEARCH UK is recruiting for a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer on behalf of a leading metal processing manufacturer. The role involves driving safety improvements, ensuring compliance, and promoting a positive safety culture across a busy site.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of HSE experience in metal fabrication/manufacturing, with NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications and strong knowledge of UK HSE laws.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Health, Safety & Environmental role.
• Experience within sheet metal, machining, fabrication or metallic manufacturing.
• Knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and ISO 14001.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe working practices and challenge unsafe behaviours.
• Provide HSE guidance to managers and employees.
• Complete and review risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Conduct H&S audits and close actions.
• Investigate accidents and incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Support emergency preparedness including drills and spill response.
• Maintain COSHH records and SDS management.
• Lead ISO 14001 audit preparations and action plans.
• Collaborate with operations to improve site standards.
