Job summary

Lloyd Ltd in Carlisle is seeking a Health, Safety and Facilities Manager for the Head Office to oversee health and safety controls, procurement, and supplier contracts. The role involves working with depots across the North of England and South of Scotland and requires strong leadership, communication, and IT literacy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a health and safety role (essential).
• Holds a Health and Safety diploma/degree, or other similar qualification (desirable).
• Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing health and safety controls, systems, and procedures across the business.
• Providing advice and support on health and safety queries.
• Developing and implementing health and safety training.
• Attending regular site management meetings, including highlighting areas of improvement to the Directors.
• Driving a positive health and safety culture across the business.
• Working with our third-party advisors to complete regular health and safety audits.
• Assisting with insurance claims and queries.
• Procuring relevant products, services, and equipment in relation to site overheads and dealing with queries.
• Managing key supplier contracts (e.g. utilities) and negotiating and completing contract tenders.
• Compliance with environmental agency schemes.
• Complete and review accreditations held by the business.
