Trs Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking an HSE Expert to provide independent HSE assurance and oversight for a renewable energy project, covering onshore preparation and offshore execution.

You will verify that contractors plan, coordinate, and execute work safely in compliance with CDM 2015 and project HSE requirements, while maintaining contractor accountability for safe delivery. Key qualifications include NEBOSH/Construction, TechIOSH, offshore/marine/project experience in multi-contractor

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent Level 3 H&S qualification.
  • TechIOSH (minimum).
  • Offshore wind, marine, or major construction project experience in multi-contractor environments.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, UK HSE legislation, contractor assurance, auditing, and incident management.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full GWO suite including Enhanced First Aid and OEUK Medical.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assure contractor compliance with CDM, project HSE standards, RAMS, PTW systems, and interface management requirements.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, site tours, and assurance reviews, focusing on high-risk activities including lifting operations, work at height, energisation, marine operations, SIMOPS, and environmental controls.
  • Review mobilisation readiness, contractor HSE plans, emergency arrangements, and high-risk work packs prior to execution.
  • Identify, escalation, and follow up on HSE concerns, ensuring effective close-out of corrective actions and intervention where serious risks are identified.
  • Produce HSE reports, communicate emerging risks and trends, and support coordination across multiple contractor work packages and interfaces.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture, workforce engagement, reporting of observations and near misses, and continuous improvement across the project

Job description

Our client, a leader in renewable energy are currently looking for a HSE Expert to provide independent HSE assurance and oversight on behalf of the Principal Contractor during both onshore preparation and offshore execution phases. The role focuses on verifying that contractors and subcontractors plan, coordinate, and execute their work safely and in compliance with CDM 2015, project HSE requirements, and the Construction Phase Plan, while maintaining contractor accountability for safe delivery.

Key Responsibilities
