  • Provide advice, guidance, and training to all staff on legislative and company Health & Safety requirements, including COMAH and ER2014.
  • Deliver monthly reports and bi-annual presentations on performance indicators, issues, and trends to the Executive Team.
  • Support the development of HSE policy, strategy, and improvement plans.

  • Lead investigations into near misses, accidents, and unusual occurrences, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
  • Chair the Risk Review Board and participate in the Change Control Board.
  • Co-ordinate the compilation and submission of the 5-year COMAH Safety Report.
  • Manage license applications and variation requests to HSE and SEPA.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management to direct reports.
  • Manage the HSE budget.
  • Support Emergency Response and Crisis Management Teams as required, including defining and delivering emergency training and exercises.
  • Carry out performance reviews and objective setting for all direct staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in HSE Management or equivalent.
  • CMIOSH / NEBOSH certification.
  • Train the Trainer certification.
  • Strong background in risk assessment and environmental management.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Personally committed to Safety, Quality, and Environmental excellence.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to spot and resolve issues early.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
