Job summary

The Whittan Group in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor / Trainer to join our Compliance / HSEQ team. You will support health, safety, environmental and training compliance across manufacturing operations, driving continuous improvement across the Group.

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will conduct audits, lead training, manage the training matrix and collaborate with Operations, HR and external providers. Occasional travel to other sites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment (3-5 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and environmental requirements.
• Experience with ISO standards and internal auditing processes.
• Excellent organisational, communication and report-writing skills.
• The ability to work independently, influence stakeholders and deliver effective training.

Responsibilities

• Support the Group's Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensure compliance with ISO standards and accreditation requirements.
• Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments, identifying opportunities to improve health, safety and environmental performance.
• Support accident and incident investigations, maintaining accident reporting processes and promoting preventative measures.
• Assist with fire safety management, first aid programmes and insurance compliance visits.
• Review and update HSE policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.
• Lead and coordinate training activities across the Milton Keynes site, maintaining the training matrix and ensuring colleagues receive the appropriate development and competency training.
• Deliver toolbox talks and support the onboarding and training of new employees.
• Work closely with Operations Managers, Team Leaders, HR and external training providers to support business objectives.
• Provide H&S support to other Group locations, including occasional travel between sites.
