Job summary

Sustainable Talent is recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor for a permanently remote role serving the Southwest energy and infrastructure portfolio. The position includes regular site visits and office attendance as required, with a focus on safe delivery of projects across a Bristol-based framework and renewables sites.

Ideal candidates hold NEBOSH certificates, up to five years of site HSE experience, and a proactive mindset for risk assessment, audits and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate at minimum.
• Five years' experience in health and safety within construction/infrastructure/renewables.
• Good knowledge of CDM regulations and site-based health and safety.
• Experience with site inspections, risk assessments, audits, investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day health and safety advice across construction, operations and maintenance.
• Support Bristol City Council framework and additional energy projects in the Southwest.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews; drive corrective actions.
• Review risk assessments and safe systems of work to ensure proper controls.
• Advise on health and safety legislation and safe working procedures.
• Assist with CDM compliance and statutory requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Monitor HSE performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support IMS development including ISO 9001/14001/45001.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
