Job summary

Steatite Limited is seeking a hands-on HSE professional to ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation across multiple sites. You will conduct audits, risk assessments and incident investigations while guiding site leadership on practical HSE improvements.

With NEBOSH General Certificate and strong communication, you will drive safety culture, support statutory inspections, and contribute to safety campaigns and employee engagement. This role offers a dynamic environment across several sites.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate is the minimum requirement.
• IOSH or another HSE qualification is desirable.
• Strong communication skills to influence site leadership.
• Experience in HSE within engineering/manufacturing/workshop environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and environmental regulations.
• Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Provide practical HSE guidance and influence site leadership.
• Support statutory inspections, PPM schedules, and contractor management.
• Drive continuous improvement and HSE initiatives across multi-site operations.
• Assist in safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives.
