Join our Team: HSE Advisor - Fixed Term Contract

Join our team at Terex and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated HSE Advisor for a fixed-term contract to contribute to the HSE Team.

As an HSE Advisor at Terex, based in Campsie, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of HSE within the business, including delivering HSE Plans to ensure site compliance, proactive management, and fostering a safety-conscious culture. You will work closely with operational management to develop line management capabilities and implement good people management practices through advising, coaching, and mentoring.

The successful applicant will be able to:

• Ensure compliance with local Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation as well as company policies.
• Manage HSE Performance KPI reporting, environmental monitoring, and measurement.
• Lead HSE Steering meetings and Safety Committees.
• Assist in Claims management processes.
• Review HSE Risk Assessments, Policies, and Procedures regularly.
• Support HSE and continuous improvement projects.
• Conduct accident/incident investigations and support other investigations.
• Collaborate with regulatory enforcement agencies, insurance agencies, and occupational health providers.
• Identify HSE training requirements and deliver training as necessary.
• Work with site teams across leadership, production, engineering, logistics, and purchasing to implement HSE improvement plans and roadmaps, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Ensure the safety of contractors and visitors on-site.
• Support the HSE budget, including processing purchase orders and resolving invoice queries.
• Coordinate and consult with leadership teams.

About you

The successful candidate must have:

• Previous experience in a similar HSE role.
• Knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
• Good understanding of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and Display Screen Equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.

Desirable criteria include:

• A NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or similar, or currently working towards it.
• Significant experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate.
• NEBOSH Environment Certificate or similar.
• NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Wellbeing at Work.
• Train the Trainer Certificate.
• Knowledge of PPC Regulations and UK Packaging Regulations.
