Job summary

DODO RECRUITMENT LTD is seeking an experienced HSE / Health & Safety Advisor for a Teesside-based project on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. The role targets individuals with construction or demolition sector expertise and Tech IOSH status.

A vehicle and accommodation are provided as part of the package. Starting salary is up to £45,000 per annum, with the possibility of a company car or van and accommodation if required.

Qualifications

• Experienced Health & Safety Advisor in construction or demolition.
• Tech IOSH membership required.
• Flexible and reliable with good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections and audits.
• Advise and support project team on HSE duties and provide guidance, monitoring and reporting on compliance.
• Ensure operations are planned and undertaken in compliance with Site and Project HSE requirements.
• Provide competent advice on current HSE legislation applicable to activities.

Midlands-based company - Role based in Teeside

Demolition or Construction Industry, TechIOSH Required

Up to £45k per annum, Vehicle and Accomodation

Our established client specialise in UK-wide demolition projects. They are currently looking for an experienced and qualified H&S Advisor to assist with a Teeside-based project on an initial 6 month FTC.

Duties may include:

• Carry out site inspections and audits.
• Advise and support the project team on their specific HSE duties, and provide guidance, monitoring and reporting on compliance
• Ensure with Project Site Management and Supervision that all operations and activities are effectively planned and undertaken in compliance with Site and Project HSE requirements
• Provide the Project Team with competent advice on current HSE legislation applicable to the activities, any hazards present relevant to the scope of works
• Contribute towards building a positive team spirit on all HSE matters on the Project

Key Skills / Experience Required:

• Experienced Health & Safety Advisor from within the construction or demolition industry
• TECH Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (Tech IOSH)
• Flexible and reliable
• Team Player
