Job summary

lvet Recruitment is seeking an HSE Advisor for a family-run civil engineering business in the North East. You will produce Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments and method statements, and visit sites to audit safety practices.

You will support the HSE Manager, assist with staff training, and conduct LOLER/PUWER checks while promoting the company’s safety ethos across projects. A UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction industry essential.
• NEBOSH qualification or working towards.
• Understanding of ISO9001, 14001 and 45001.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• IOSH qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Visit sites and audit safety systems in place.
• Support HSE Manager in implementing safe practices across sites.
• Assist with staff training on site and organise training sessions.
• Carry out LOLER & PUWER checks on site.
• Write reports for Accidents, Incidents and Near Misses and log them.
