Job summary

Nicholas Associates invites applications for a HSE Advisor to join our manufacturing group near Sutton-in-Ashfield. You will support the HSE Manager and broader safety team across two sites, helping implement site and group policies and drive safe behaviours and continuous improvement.

The role provides a clear path to Health and Safety Manager as part of succession planning. A NEBOSH General Certificate is required, with exposure to environmental aspects like waste management, energy savings

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate required.
• Exposure to environmental - waste management, energy savings, COSHH.
• Strong IT skills Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the HSE Manager and wider Health and Safety team, and to Operations & Engineering.
• Facilitate a safe workplace, foster safe behaviours and implement policies and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement across site and group safety initiatives.

Job Title: HSE Advisor

Pay: £45,000

Hours: Monday‑Thursday 8hrs starting between 6:30am and 8am and Fridays 5.5hrs. (37.5hr week)

Location: Near Sutton-in-Ashfield (x2 site locations) approx. 3 days at site 1 and 2 days at site 2.

Progression: to Health and Safety Manager for succession planning.

Overview

With manufacturing facilities located across the World we now require a HSE Advisor to join the group. You will be working for a first‑class manufacturing business that can offer true progression for the willing candidate to become the Health and Safety Manager due to succession planning. The role will have a key focus around environmental as this is now moving under the Health and Safety structure for the business.

Key Responsibilities

To provide support to the HSE Manager and wider Health and Safety team as well as Operations & Engineering Departments. To assist in facilitating a safe workplace, fostering safe behaviours and implementation of site and group policies and procedures, and always working towards continuous improvement.
