Job summary

Magil Construction is seeking a proactive HSE Advisor to support multiple construction projects across London and surrounding areas. You will help promote and maintain a strong safety culture on site.

You'll work closely with site supervision, field staff, subcontractors, and management to implement procedures, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and opportunities to advance a career in construction

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of construction safety experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety acts and regulations is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits of work activities, equipment, and jobsite conditions
  • Identify unsafe conditions, safety concerns, near misses, and incidents, and assist with corrective actions
  • Work collaboratively with site teams and subcontractors to ensure safety procedures are followed
  • Assist with incident investigations, documentation, and follow-up actions
  • Participate in site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
  • Build positive working relationships with field staff, supervisors, and trade partners
  • Support ongoing safety initiatives and help promote safe work practices on site
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Travel between multiple job sites throughout the day as required

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing within a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Expected Base Compensation: $65,000-78,000
