Oxford City Council is seeking an experienced and highly organised HRA Water Safety Manager / Coordinator to lead the management,coordinationand continuous improvement of water safety compliance across its Housing Revenue Account (HRA) housing portfolio of approximately 8,000 homes.
This is a specialist compliance role within the HRA Compliance function, responsible for ensuring that the Council effectively manages water hygiene and legionella risks across its residential housing stock through robust governance, proactive riskmanagementand strong operational control.
The postholder will take ownership of the Council’s water safety management arrangements, ensuring that Legionella Risk Assessments (LRA’s), monitoring regimes, remedial actions,inspectionsand associated compliance activities are effectively managed, accuratelyrecordedand compliant with all relevant legislation,guidanceand organisational requirements.
The role will act as the Council’s lead coordinator for water safety compliance, ensuring that compliance systems, records, riskinformationand assurance processesremainaccurate, up to date and fully auditable. The postholder will work closely with contractors, consultants, operationalteamsand delivery partners to ensure that risks are effectively managed and that remedial actions are completed within required timescales.
The HRA Water Safety Manager will play a key role in strengthening compliance assurance, improving data quality, supporting regulatory compliance and embedding best practice water safety management across the organisation
