Job summary

University of Plymouth is seeking an experienced HR Systems Specialist to support and develop the HR and Payroll system. This part-time role (20.5 hours/week) includes on-site presence with remote work possible after training, and a focus on delivering enhancements and maintaining data quality.

You will design, configure, test and deploy system changes, providing expert administration and collaborating across HR and the wider University to improve processes and user experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with HR systems development, administration and support.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Proactive, collaborative, and customer-service oriented.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience with HR and Payroll systems is a plus (MHR iTrent preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead on delivery and enhancement of HR system functionality.
• Design, configure, test and deploy system changes.
• Provide specialist system administration and technical support.
• Investigate and resolve complex system issues.
• Review and improve system processes and data quality.
• Support HR systems projects and change initiatives.
• Communicate upgrades, patches and new functionality to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation and service delivery across HR operations.
