Job summary

The City of Liverpool College is seeking a motivated HR Recruitment Apprentice to support the recruitment process and provide administrative assistance within the HR team in Liverpool. You will be the first point of contact for many stakeholders and will undertake the CIPD Level 3 People Practice qualification as part of the role.

This 18-month fixed term contract offers hands-on experience, comprehensive training and a clear path into HR/recruitment careers.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the administration of onboarding new staff from point of offer to induction and throughout probationary period.

Description

Job Title: HR Recruitment Apprentice

Department: Human Resources

Salary: £23,195 per year Job Type: 18 Months Fixed Term contract, 35 hours per week

We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our HR team as HR Recruitment Apprentice. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the recruitment process while providing administrative support to the Recruitment Manager, Recruitment Assistant and wider HR Team. You’ll be the first point of contact for a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, consistently acting as a positive ambassador for the College Group.

As part of the role, you’ll undertake the CIPD Level 3 People Practice qualification to support and enhance your skills. This role offers comprehensive training, hand-on experience and is the perfect starting point for a career in Recruitment or HR. You’ll be an enthusiastic and resourceful team-player with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and develop a customer-focused approach.

This is a full-time role based at the Arts Centre on Myrtle Street.

Reporting to: Recruitment Manager

Key Responsibilities
  1. Providing administrative support in all stages of the recruitment journey (advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and appointment).
  2. Inputting data into HR systems and maintaining databases and tracker as appropriate.
  3. Assist with candidate sourcing and screening as required.
  4. Scheduling and coordinating interviews, liaising with candidates, hiring managers and other stakeholders.
  5. Processing all new starter checks.
  6. Acting as first point of contact for bank staff requests.
  7. Raising requisitions and undertaking routine finance duties.
  8. Producing reports as required.
  9. Supporting the administration of onboarding new staff from point of offer to induction and throughout probationary period, liaising with the wider HR team.
  10. Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of information held within the office and comply with data protection protocols and relevant policies as appropriate.
  11. Undertaking other administrative HR related duties as required.

  3. Fluent speaking in any of the mentioned languages: Arabic, Persian, Kurmanji (Northern Kurdish), Sorani (Central Kurdish), Portuguese, Spanish, Tigrinya, Vietnamese, French.
