As a People Business Partner, you'll collaborate closely with our Operational teams and Head Office business leaders, providing proactive and pragmatic advice on various people management activities, aligning with our strategic aims and objectives. By championing our culture of “Be Yourself Here,” you'll enhance our people experience and contribute to Apex's success.

Reporting to The Head of People Operations and Projects, this role forms part of our wider People Culture team and is based in our London Hotels, with hybrid working and regular UK travel to support onsite People and Culture activities.

Role Overview:

The main responsibilities of the HR People Business Partner are:

  • Strategic Partnership: Build strong relationships with senior leadership teams, understanding business challenges and providing commercially focused advice.
  • Coaching and Development: Actively train and coach managers on HR knowledge, boosting confidence in applying people-focused policies and processes.
  • Employee Relations: Provide timely and effective management of ER related activities.
  • Acquisition Support: Develop acquisition plans aligned with organizational objectives, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Policy and Process Maintenance: Keep HR policies, guidelines, and SOPs up to date, reinforcing a positive people experience.
  • Data-Driven Solutions: Analyse insights and translate data into evidence-based people solutions.
  • Project Management: Undertake projects related to change processes, people policies, communication initiatives, well-being, diversity and inclusion, and engagement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior People Business Partner and the Shared Services team.
  • Organizational Culture: Champion Apex's strategy and “Be Yourself Here” through company-wide activities and recognition awareness days.

About you

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has solid understanding of stakeholder management, employee relations, engagement, well-being, DI, employment legislation, and people policies.

Qualifications:

  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent)

Experience:

  • Previous HR function experience, applying HR practices pragmatically and efficiently.
  • Expertise in employee relations and people-based issues, understanding the strategic role of HR.
  • Proven track record in managing employment relations effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with a varied workload.
  • Strong numeracy and problem-solving abilities
  • Data analysis skills to drive actionable insights
