Job summary

Versende Legal in London seeks an HR Manager (Trainees) to own the full Trainee Solicitor lifecycle. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will lead recruitment, onboarding, seat rotations, qualification management (LPC and SQE), sponsor study, and run the Summer Vacation Scheme.

You will partner with Training Principal and department heads, using data to keep the programme best in class and ensure a smooth, high‑quality trainee experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a legal environment, with proven experience working directly with Trainees.
• Knowledge of both routes to qualification, LPC and SQE.
• Willingness to work from London office and contribute to a high‑quality trainee experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, onboarding and induction including mentor/buddy programmes.
• Manage seat rotations, mid-seat and end-of-seat appraisals and performance management.
• Oversee the qualification process (LPC/SQE), sponsorship and NQ recruitment.
• Lead the firm's Summer Vacation Scheme and future talent pipeline.
• Provide broader generalist HR support as part of a collaborative team.
