Job summary

Trident Group is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead a small HR team within our People & Culture function. You will provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters and help shape a positive, inclusive workplace culture across the organisation.

You'll partner with managers and senior leaders to support performance, wellbeing, engagement and organisational success, driving HR service excellence and compliance with employment law.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an HR Manager role.
  • Strong employment law knowledge and practical HR expertise.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent professional experience.

We're looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our People & Culture team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small HR team, provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters, and help shape a positive, inclusive workplace culture across the organisation.

You'll play a key role in delivering an excellent HR service, partnering with managers and senior leaders to support performance, wellbeing, engagement and organisational success.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading, developing and motivating a small HR team.
  • Providing expert advice on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and organisational change cases.
  • Coaching and supporting managers to confidently manage people issues.
  • Ensuring HR policies, procedures and practices align with employment legislation and organisational values.
  • Using workforce data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Supporting People & Culture projects and helping deliver our people strategy.
  • Championing equality, diversity, inclusion and a positive employee experience.

About you

You'll be a confident HR professional with strong employment law knowledge, experience leading teams, and a proven ability to handle complex and sensitive people matters. You'll be comfortable influencing at all levels and balancing operational delivery with strategic thinking.

You'll bring:

  • Experience in an HR Manager role
  • Experience managing and developing HR teams.
  • Strong employment law knowledge and practical HR expertise.
  • Experience advising managers and senior leaders on high-risk and sensitive people matters.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience within social housing, public sector or another regulated environment would be an advantage.
