Job description

Overview

HR Manager — 3 days a week (22.5 hours, flexible). £35,000-£40,000 pa (FTE). Remote role (must be able to attend occasional meetings in a Northeast Essex office).


Responsibilities


  • Responsible for recruitment and onboarding of all employees - this includes sourcing, screening, retaining interview notes for personnel files, adding to payroll system, undertaking onboarding procedures such as right to work checks, occupational health questionnaires, driver’s licence checks, enrolling to pension scheme.

  • Responsible for mandatory training of new joiners

  • Prepare and store relevant data metrics i.e. leavers, joiners, salaries to highlight trends occurring

  • Manage all personnel folders

  • Support line managers throughout and oversee any disciplinary procedures, redundancies, including preparation of redundancy calculations and protocol, investigations

  • Raise purchase orders for all HR related invoices

  • Manage all personnel related schemes at renewal, this includes Group Assurance, Pensions, Life Insurance, dental Care, Healthshield, Cyclescheme, Perkbox

  • Performance management

  • Manage absences, return to work processes

  • Support as part of Emergency Response Team for personnel.

  • Managing payroll and expenses (around 60 people)


Requirements

Experience within employment law, payroll, recruitment and onboarding, drafting policies and all other personnel responsibilities.
