What you will be doing

We are looking to recruit an experienced HR Manager to lead the UK HR function. You will be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, driving employee engagement, and supporting the achievement of our business goals through delivering strategic HR initiatives.

The HR manager will lead the support for approximately employees across 3 locations in the UK and directly line manage the UK HR team in a fast-paced people-based business environment.

This is a part time role working hours over 4 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the execution of the HR Strategy across the full talent management cycle to ensure achievement of the objectives.
  • Managing all core HR departmental areas, including payroll, employee relations, HR admin, learning and development, recruitment and onboarding.
  • Providing advice and direction where needed to the HR team on work priorities, budget and staff resources, strategic, policy, organisation and staff management issues.
  • Managing the implementation of employment policies ensuring these are kept in line with employment law and HR best practice.
  • Driving our objectives on equity, inclusion, diversity and building staff communities.
  • Continuously improving engagement and welfare activities, maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers and building leadership capability.
  • Identifying HR trends so that attention can be directed to key issues and resources.
  • Engaging effectively and proactively with the UK Board, senior leaders and line/team managers across a matrix and hybrid business operating across 3 UK sites and a wider group of offices internationally.
  • Managing the allocation of HR budgets.
  • Overseeing Health and Safety within the UK business, flagging areas of risk to the Ecorys UK Board.
  • Ensuring current regulation compliance, including accepted professional standards, policies and procedures and legislation (including legislation on data protection, the Equality Act and health and safety).
  • Collaborating with HR functions across the rest of Ecorys to drive global people initiatives and people KPIs.
What we will need from you
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a HR function with experience of budgetary control.
  • Formal CIPD qualification to diploma, degree or Masters level.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law & HR best practice, and an ability to translate this into HR business plans.
  • Ability to produce a range of reports and analyse and present statistical information/data.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff within the organisation with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills working with confidentiality, diplomacy and cultural awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with excellent influencing and negotiating skills supporting line managers through change.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload and that of the team.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a proactive approach.
