Job summary

BMAT Education is seeking an enthusiastic HR Lead to manage day-to-day HR operations within a school, reporting to the Headteacher and collaborating with the Trust HR team. The role focuses on delivering a high-quality HR service in a busy, staff-focused environment.

The successful candidate will oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll-related processes, and ensure compliance with Trust policies, while guiding staff and managers with up-to-date HR guidance and processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HR operations and advisory roles.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
• Experience in education sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
• Provide first-line HR advice to staff and school leaders.
• Support employee relations, absence management, performance and wellbeing.
