Job summary

An established global aerospace engineering business in the UK is seeking an HR Advisor to join on-site in Loughborough. You will work with the HR Manager and HR Business Partner, providing proactive HR support across the full employee lifecycle.

This is a true generalist role covering employee relations, recruitment, HR administration, payroll coordination and HR projects, ensuring processes are compliant with UK employment law and GDPR while maintaining a strong shop floor presence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HR Generalist in engineering/manufacturing environment.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) with support to complete Level 7.
• Strong employee relations experience with ability to manage cases to final written warning.
• Experience handling absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance processes.
• Recruitment experience incl. screening and contracts.
• Payroll administration support including overtime, starters and leavers.
• Strong HR data analysis and reporting skills.
• Good knowledge of UK employment law and GDPR.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proactive, hands-on with strong shop floor presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to managers on employee relations cases and investigations.
• Support recruitment activities: screening, coordinating interviews, offers and contracts.
• Coordinate HR administration incl. payroll inputs, overtime, starters and leavers.
• Assist with organisational change, engagement initiatives and HR projects.
• Produce HR reports and analyse data to identify trends.
• Be a visible HR presence across the facility and ensure policy compliance.
