Job summary

Quintessential Brands UK Group Ltd in the UK is seeking a proactive HR Officer on a 6-9 month fixed-term contract to support managers and employees with day-to-day HR queries.

You will apply UK employment law, assist with performance, attendance and disciplinary matters, and lead on HR projects, audits and data analysis. A CIPD Level 5 qualification and strong stakeholder engagement are required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualified to at least level 5.
• Experience in a generalist HR role.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing employee relations cases and sensitive situations.
• Ability to work with managers and unions.
• Proactive, solution-focused mindset.
• Confident to challenge and influence when needed.
• Collaborative, with strong relationship-building skills.
• Discretion and professionalism handling confidential information.
• Flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first point of contact for HR queries from managers and employees.
• Support managers with employee relations including performance, attendance and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures align with UK employment law.
• Assist with and lead on HR projects and initiatives supporting business strategy.
• Prepare and support formal meetings and hearings with accuracy and compliance.
• Analyse HR data and metrics to inform decisions and drive improvement.
• Support resourcing, learning & development and wellbeing initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and trade unions.
• Contribute to HR audits and GDPR compliance activities.
• Help drive employee engagement and organisational change.
