Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking an HR/ER Advisor on a 3-month+ contract based in Plymouth (commutable from nearby towns). Salary up to £40,000, paid weekly via Umbrella PAYE. The role supports employee relations across a busy site and offers exposure to global operations within a market-leading manufacturing group.

The ideal candidate has HR advisory or ER experience and a CIPD qualification (or working towards it). Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HR advisory, employee relations, or HR casework.
• Strong understanding of HR fundamentals and employment law.
• CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards) preferred.
• Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance and absence management.
• Lead investigations, hearings and formal HR processes.
• Draft legally compliant HR documentation.
• Coach managers to handle people issues confidently.
• Maintain confidential HR records in line with GDPR.
• Collaborate with Occupational Health and external HR specialists as required.
