Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an HR Assistant to provide operational and administrative support for the HR function of the Saab Seaeye Business Unit. The role requires high levels of discretion and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, payroll and benefits support, employee relations, wellbeing and engagement, HR operations and administration, and ensuring data accuracy within HR systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced HR environment, ideally manufacturing or retail.
• Ability to deliver a broad range of HR advice and support managers.
• Understanding end-to-end HR processes and procedures.
• Ability to maintain high discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative HR support for the unit.
• Assist recruitment, offers, contracts and onboarding processes.
• Support pre-employment checks and right-to-work requirements.
• Process payroll data and manage benefits administration.
• Advise managers on HR issues and handle minor employee relations matters.
• Maintain HR data accuracy across systems and staff records.
• Support wellbeing and engagement initiatives and training administration.
