Basildon Borough Council seeks an experienced HR Consultant on a temporary basis to lead a large-scale Housing Service restructure. The role is hybrid, requiring presence in the office 2–3 days per week based on business needs, and involves advising Executive leadership and guiding consultation with staff.

You will work closely with the Executive Director of Housing and senior leaders to ensure compliant change delivery, strong employee engagement, and smooth embedding of the new structure

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an HR Consultant, preferably within local government.
• Proven experience leading organisational restructures and change programmes.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation relating to change, consultation and redundancy.

Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Basildon Council to recruit a HR Consultant on a temporary basis for a period of 3 months. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation to be in the office 2 - 3 days per week, depending on business needs., We are seeking an experienced HR Consultant to lead on a significant corporate restructure programme, initially focusing on a large-scale Housing Service transformation. Working closely with the Executive Director of Housing and senior leadership team, you will provide expert HR advice and guidance throughout the consultation process, ensuring organisational change is delivered smoothly, compliantly and with minimal disruption to services. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR professional with substantial restructuring experience within local government to influence strategic change and support leaders through a complex period of transformation.,
