Job summary

MCS Group is seeking an HR and Employee Relations professional for a part-time role in Belfast. The position offers 3 or 4 days per week with hybrid working and flexi time, supporting Employment Tribunal cases and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will bring degree-level qualifications and experience in Employment Law, with strong analytical and case-management skills to drive complex cases forward.

Qualifications

  • Experience building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience handling Employment Law and employee relations matters (Discipline, Grievance, Dignity at Work).
  • Strong analytical skills to assess information, identify issues and make recommendations.
  • Experience managing and progressing complex cases or work streams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate Employment Tribunal cases, ensuring milestones, deadlines and actions are progressed effectively.
  • Work closely with a range of stakeholders to support the smooth progression of complex cases.
  • Review case information, identify potential risks and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Prepare briefings, submissions, responses and management information as required.
  • Attend relevant meetings and Tribunal Hearings, ensuring key information is available and actions are clearly recorded.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates on case progress, risks and emerging issues.
  • Use case analysis and business insight to support effective decision-making and stakeholder engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy team, with flexibility to work 3 or 4 days per week, supporting Employment Tribunal cases and working closely with a range of stakeholders.

The Role

Essential Criteria
