Job description

HR Business Partner-Exclusive

South Belfast | £40,000 – £50,000 DOE | Hybrid Potential

Artemis Human Capital is delighted to exclusively support a well-established, progressive organisation in appointing an experienced HR Business Partner.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional to take ownership of a broad HR remit within a growing organisation, working closely with senior leadership to shape and develop its people agenda.

This is a standalone HR position, making it particularly well suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, takes a hands-on approach, and wants genuine influence over people strategy, culture, and organisational development.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will act as a trusted HR partner across the organisation, providing both strategic guidance and hands-on operational support across the full employee lifecycle.

You will work closely with managers and employees at all levels, while having the opportunity to influence and develop HR processes, policies and people initiatives as the organisation continues to grow and evolve.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers, providing practical and commercially focused HR advice.
  • Partnering closely with senior leadership on people strategy, organisational development and employee matters.
  • Reviewing and developing HR policies, procedures, contracts and employee documentation to ensure compliance with current employment legislation and business requirements.
  • Providing accurate HR reporting and insight to senior leadership, using data to identify trends and support business decision‑making.
  • Working closely with operational and Health & Safety teams to support training, compliance and employee development requirements.
  • Managing and developing effective people processes across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Working collaboratively with payroll and external/internal service providers where required.
  • Leading the development and delivery of apprenticeship programmes aligned to workforce planning and future skills requirements.
  • Developing and delivering training and management development initiatives to strengthen leadership capability, performance and retention.
  • Supporting employee engagement, wellbeing and initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Supporting the people aspects of organisational change and growth.
  • Continuously reviewing HR practices and identifying opportunities for improvement.

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced HR professionals who are comfortable operating independently and can confidently move between strategic HR partnering and hands‑on delivery.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, Senior HR Officer or similar position.
  • Strong practical experience across the full employee lifecycle.
  • A detailed understanding of UK employment legislation and current HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to engage with employees, managers and senior leadership.
  • A proactive, commercially aware approach and the ability to translate business requirements into practical people solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confidence working with HR data, reporting and people metrics.
  • The ability to work autonomously, take ownership and build credibility quickly within an organisation.
