Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for our Gatwick Airport operation, on site. You will partner with senior leaders, deliver strategic and hands-on HR support, drive engagement and practical people solutions to support business performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong HR Business Partner experience within a customer centric, operational environment.
  • Proven union relationship management and pay negotiations experience- desirable
  • Solid ER expertise across performance management, disciplinaries, grievances and attendance
  • High energy with a genuine passion for culture, engagement and visible HR presence
  • Credible influencer, able to challenge and support senior leaders
  • Experience building management capability through coaching and pragmatic advice
  • Resilient and adaptable, comfortable working at pace
  • CIPD studying, qualified or equivalent level of professional HR knowledge
  • Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Support with employee satisfaction, performance, retention and effective communication at site.
  • Support the ER agenda and lead / support relationships and key processes with unions at site.
  • Deploy the Business HR Priorities, e.g. labour flexibility, OMS, LPMC, payroll optimisation, T&C's standardisation.
  • Provide HR support to start ups and business wins, losses and transfers.
  • Ensure employee performance management (sickness, discipline, grievance) is robustly supported.
  • Support managers to develop and deliver solutions for workforce planning and management including organisation design, forecasting resourcing needs, agency and identifying future talent requirements.
  • Act as an advisor to managers to support compliance with HR policies.

Are you an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment? We're looking for a confident HR professional to join our team.

Partnering with senior leaders, you'll provide both strategic and hands-on HR support across a workforce of colleagues within our Gatwick Airport Operation, primarily on site, you'll build strong relationships, drive engagement, and deliver practical people solutions that support business performance.

You'll bring strong employee relations experience, the ability to manage complex people matters, and a passion for coaching and developing managers. Experience in a unionised environment would be beneficial, along with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
